Richard Herschede Sr. spent over 50 years dedicating his life to the Herschede Hall Clock Company. Herschede was the third generation to carry on a clock-making tradition that began over 100 years ago in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Herschede retired as executive vice president after having served in every aspect of the company's operation. A Haverford model Herschede Hall Clock was presented to him by the company, a favorite of his that had been in production for over 40 years.
